Westgate Christian School has been the "Friend" of the home school movement since it began.  We have offered the opportunity for home educated students to be involved in our Fine Arts and Athletic programs for years but we have become increasingly aware of our ability to do much more to partner with home educators. 

We are currently working on a number of initiatives that we believe would be very appealing to home educators.  In addition to participation in FA and athletics, we are developing creative block schedules that would enable a home educator (HE) to take things like lab sciences, fine arts (music, speech / drama), conversational Spanish, etc. in a block format that would eliminate the need of DAILY classes.  We are also planning to integrate home educators into our spiritual emphasis, field trips, etc.

We are trying to be better stewards of our excellent faculty and facilities by restructuring schedules and class offerings to accommodate the needs and desires of home educators.
