Private Piano

The Director of Piano, Mrs. Kathryn Bethea, has a degree in Piano Pedagogy from Bob Jones University. She has taught for more than 25 years and her students have won state competitions.

Private piano lessons are available on campus to students in grades 1-12. Students are allowed to leave class once each week to participate in the half-hour lessons which are scheduled during the school day. Both classical and traditional sacred genres are used. Fees for lessons and printed music may be paid in the school office.

Along with preparations for SCACS fine arts competitions, two recitals are scheduled as part of the education process.  The first recital is in early December and has a Christmas theme, and the second is in early May.
